For Banyamulenge people, cattle are more than animals — they are part of family life. Herding taught patience, responsibility, and respect for nature. Many families still tell stories about great herds their grandparents once owned.

Elders are respected leaders in the community. They help solve problems, share wisdom, and teach younger generations about history and values. Listening to elders is one of the most important traditions we keep.
